3 May 2025, the Idalp in Ischgl at an altitude of 2,320 metres was once again transformed into a spectacular open-air stage: US pop-rock band OneRepublic celebrated the 30th anniversary of the legendary "Top of the Mountain Closing Concert". With global hits such as "Counting Stars", "Apologize" and "I Ain't Worried", the Grammy-nominated band led by frontman Ryan Tedder thrilled the audience and provided an unforgettable finale to the winter season.
The legendary "Top of the Mountain Closing Concert" celebrated its 30th anniversary this year and once again attracted guests from all over the world to Ischgl. With OneRepublic, one of the most successful bands in the world, the stage at 2,320 metres above sea level was transformed into a centre full of music and emotion. With their energetic live performance in spring-like temperatures, they provided a musical highlight in Ischgl that will live long in the memory of over 16,000 winter sports fans. The concert was the crowning glory of the "Spring Blanc" event series, which combines winter sports, lifestyle and culinary delights in the Silvretta Arena. Since 1995, the "Top of the Mountain" concert series has been thrilling audiences with world-class performances and extraordinary concerts in the heart of the Silvretta Arena. This year's performance by OneRepublic was a fitting celebration of "30 Years T.O.M." and an impressive continuation of the iconic event's long-standing success story. The emotional finale was an effect firework display that lit up the cloudy sky above the Idalp in bright colours - a worthy conclusion to "30 Years T.O.M."
Two million skier days: a milestone for Ischgl.
Another highlight of the 2024/25 winter season was when Silvrettaseilbahn AG welcomed its two millionth passenger on 26 April 2025. This impressive figure underlines the popularity and appeal of the Silvretta Arena among winter sports enthusiasts from all over the world. It was the first time since 2019 that this mark was reached again, reflecting the successful development and sustained investment in the ski area.
Three new 8-seater D-Line chairlifts with weather protection bonnets and heated seats by winter 2026/27
Silvrettaseilbahn AG is investing around 50 million euros in three state-of-the-art 8-seater D-Line chairlifts with weather protection bonnets, heated seats and the innovative AURO system, which enables automatic entry and exit monitoring, by the 2026/27.
Winter season. The Höllbodenbahn C1 and Sassgalunbahn C3 will go into operation as early as 2025, followed by the Höllkarbahn C2 in 2026. The new chairlifts will replace the existing facilities, increase transport capacity and improve traffic routing and comfort in the ski area. In addition, over 1,200 m² of photovoltaic modules will be installed on the station roofs. The backs of the chairs are themed and tell the story of the "Top of the Mountain Concerts" in Ischgl (C1), the history of Silvrettaseilbahn AG (C2) and the Silvretta Therme Ischgl (C3).
Besides being a world-class ski resort and après ski destination, Ischgl is widely renowned for its events, particularly the Top of the Mountain Concert, which stands out. A concert with world-class artists that marks the beginning and end of the season, annually attracting thousands to enjoy both music and skiing.

The concert is part of Spring Blanc, a series of events celebrating sunny spring skiing in Ischgl. Visitors to the Silvretta Arena can enjoy perfect piste conditions, culinary highlights, and a variety of events. Spring Blanc combines winter sports with lifestyle and offers guests an exceptional experience from April to May.
OneRepublic follows in the footsteps of a galaxy of superstars who have entertained skiers and boarders in the Austrian resort's traditional Top of the Mountain gig. Years ago, Ischgl decided to put its entire advertising and marketing budget into staging two massive concerts a year to open and close the winter season. Elton John was the first international star to feature in the Tirolean resort's now-famous season-closing concerts in April 1995. Ischgl is a true Ski Paradise in Tirol (Austria) with 239 km of perfectly groomed slopes, 45 lifts, and guaranteed snow from November to early May, thanks to the ski resort's high altitude and 1,100 snowmaking guns.
The modern lifts managed by the Silvretta Seilbahn AG Company offer a high level of comfort. Opened in January of 2014, with its 1,251 meters of difference in altitude, the 3-S Pardatschgratbahn in Ischgl is one of the biggest of its kind. The ascent from the valley up to the mountain station takes about nine minutes. A cable car of superlatives that forms the entry point to the Silvretta Arena together with the Fimbabahn and Silvrettabahn cable cars.
From Ischgl you can access the Silvretta Arena Ski Paradise, -the third-biggest ski resort in Tirol-, thanks to an alliance between two Companies (SilvrettaSeilbahn AG and BergbahnenSammaun AG) and two ski resorts (Ischgl-Sammaun) from two different countries (Switzerland-Austria).
A variety of pistes (20 blue, 40 red, and 25 black) and ski routes offer an opportunity for everyone, from beginners to experts looking for challenging pistes. Eleven is the name of the longest piste with approximately 11 kilometers from the top of the ski resort in Greitspitz (2,872 meters) to Ischgl village (1,400 meters).
15 mountain restaurants and ski huts, with Tyrolean specialties or international dishes, will complete a perfect day of skiing in Ischgl.
